There's no better way to get to know others than by serving with them!

It truly is one of the best ways to make friends and become part of what God is doing through Oakbrook.


If you've been attending for awhile and want to get plugged-in, meet others, and be blessed through serving, there is a place for you! It takes many teams of volunteers to prepare for and run a Sunday service, including Admin Team, Connections Team, Kids' Ministry, Facilities, Worship Tech, and Worship Music! Oakbrook also has a Missions Team involved in many areas of outreach near and far. And Sunday nights, our Student Ministries volunteers run Oakbrook's youth group, serving youth both from our church and around the city!


Oakbrook is passionate about serving and living on mission both locally and globally. We actively look for ways to serve our neighbors, the community where we live, and those overseas. Come be a part of our servant teams!

  • Looking for ways to use your organizational or clerical gifts to serve & worship God?
    Getting involved looks like:

    • Helping plan & prep food for church events.
    • Assisting the church admin by proofreading church communications.
    • Printing & folding Sunday bulletins & inserts as needed.
    • Assisting our social media volunteer to create announcement slides, website graphics, or social media posts.
    • Working in the church office to answer phones & perform small clerical as needed.


  • Children's Ministry is a place where every gift is needed!
    Getting involved looks like:

    • Using your gifts & talents to serve children & their families.
    • Singing songs, or helping kids do crafts.
    • Telling stories about what Jesus has done for us!
    • Organizing events or reading a Bible story to grow kids' interest in God's Word.
    • Holding a baby or assisting a teacher in a classroom.
    • Helping new families feel welcome.

  • Do you want to impact the next generation for Christ?
    Getting involved looks like:

    • Spending Sunday nights having fun with, talking with, & encouraging students.
    • Contributing your unique gifts & talents to the youth program.
    • Working with a team of individuals who share your passion for youth!
    • Intentionally engaging in discipleship with students seeking to take their relationship with Christ to the next level.
    • Modeling a life connected to Christ through Scripture & prayer.


  • Looking for an opportunity to use your technical gifts to serve & worship God?

    Getting involved looks like:

    • Feeling called by God to help lead His people in worship.
    • Participating in training to familiarize yourself with the sound/media equipment & skill development.
    • Attending Sunday morning practice on the weeks you are scheduled.
    • Working with the worship leader to facilitate good communication & confidence for both the worship & tech team members.
    • Fulfilling your responsibilities with a servant's heart.


  • Looking for an opportunity to use your musical gifts to serve & worship God?
    Getting involved looks like:

    • Feeling called by God to help lead His people in worship.
    • Attending Monday & Sunday worship practices the weeks your band leads worship.
    • Learning music well, knowing your equipment, & serving with a teachable spirit.
    • Listening to each other, working to help others' instruments & voices sound the best they can.
    • Participating in an affirming musical tryout, to help determine team fit.
