We will explore the lives of Elijah, Elisha, Daniel and Esther. Offering Procedure Giving is a part of worship. If you are a newcomer you are our guest. At Oakbrook we believe in “grace giving” which is out of a joyous heart filled with worship, not under compulsion. You may use the offering box on the information table. Labor of Love – Walk for Life SAVE THE DATE – Walk for Life – Saturday, September 29, 2007, 9 AM. Hello Oakbrook Church family. I know we are all busy with building and I’m sure Saturday the 29th there will be lots of work to do. But let’s try to assist Labor of Love in this fundraising event. Fact is, those who wanted to could walk earlier, before the normal start time and then “sign out” instead of “signing in”. How’s that for an idea. Construction Schedule (Still trusting the Lord for this schedule) ~ Tuesday, September 11th, floor trusses arrive ~ Friday, September 14th, roof trusses arrive. ~ Wednesday – Saturday, September 12-15 we need all the help we can get. Introducing Our New Email Prayer Coordinator Tricia Olson has been a faithful member of our email prayer team for some time. She has volunteered to be the “go to person” for prayer requests to be passed along to our church family via email. Thanks ones and all for your work. I talked with Doug Schmidt. He is doing OK. The healing process from his cancer surgery is taking time and he still has to be horizontal for a few more days. (Continue to keep him in your prayers!) I need 5-7 people to help me make some thank you calls to the churches that have been helping us and to give them an update on what is coming up next and other calls that will be as a check-in call to see if churches received the email info to make announcements in church and to get into their bulletins Please let me know if you are willing to help out with the phone calls!
